The tech innovation company, Cadel Deinking, has figured out how to remove ink from plastic (even multiple layers in the delamination process, ink can be removed), ensuring that plastic can be reused again in a circular system. The result of their innovative process is an ink-free plastic with a quality very similar to that of new plastic. This one-of-a-kind technology and its patent has been extended to more than 20 countries.
Ink, so important to brand communications, is no longer a barrier to a closed loop plastic solution. Pretty cool innovation. We’re eager to see how this new technology gets used and transforms plastic recycling.
